With the new iPhone 5 coming ever closer retailers including Best Buy and Target have begun to cut down prices on the iPhones they have in stock.
Target makes room for iPhone 5
Target has the 16GB versions of the AT&T and the Verizon iPhone 4S on contract for $179.99. Best Buy on the other hand are offering to drop the price of the 8GB iPhone 4 on both of the carriers with $50 off which means it now only $49.99.
Earlier in the month Sprint dropped the price of their iPhone 4S by $50. The 16GB version of the iPhone 4S costs $149.99 if taken out with Sprint on a contract of two years. The 32GB version of the handset is available for $249.00 and the 64GB version is on offer for $349.99.
Apple said that they had begun to match the prices of discounted handsets from the carriers and major retailers in the US. If you go into the stores of Apple when wanting the iPhone you need to mention deals that are on offer from some of the retailers. If you ask, Cupetino will drop the price of the iPhone 4 and 4S by $49.01.
On the other hand if you want to get the latest model of iPhone you may want to wait as the iPhone 5 is said to be coming out very soon and it should be launched on 12th Sept according to rumors. Even if you don’t want the iPhone 5, its release will mean a bigger drop in price for the iPhone 4S.
