iPhone 5 Design Ripped Off For 4-Core Android Jelly Bean Phone [PICS]

By  |

There have been postings on a Chinese forum that GooPhone, a Chinese electronics company, are making knock-off copies of the design of the iPhone 5 based on leaks and renderings posted online.

iPhone 5 knock-off runs quad-core processor, possibly Jelly Bean

The Goophone looks very much like all of the leaked photos and renderings of the iPhone 5, which is expected to be launched 12th of September. The Goophone has a 3.5 inch screen of 840 x 640 and it comes with a 5 megapixel camera as the main camera and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. It also runs on a quad core processor but at this moment in time there is no indication of the GHz. Price and availability of the Goophone are also unknown.

Judging by Goophone’s previous devices, we can expect it to come preloaded with the latest OS i.e. Jelly Bean, and possibly feature a skin that resembles iOS (the original Goophone ran Android Froyo but made it appear like iOS 3.1).

What do you think, would you like a Goophone to show off to your friends or will you be hanging on and waiting for the real iPhone 5?
