We finally have the first official look at the iPhone 5 and it is breathtaking to say the least. For starters, Apple states that it is the world’s thinnest phone!

Now boasting 5 rows of icons with 4 shortcuts at the bottom. It’s a 326ppi Retina display, 4-inches. 1136 x 640 resolution. Same width, but taller.
In terms of connectivity, it now has “Ultrafast Wireless” which is a host of new connections including GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, HSPA, HSPA+, DC-HSDPA and LTE!. HSPA+ is 21Mbps, DC-HSDPA is 42Mbps, and LTE is a max of 100.
In terms of processing speed, the iPhone 5 boasts a new chip, the A6! It is 2 times faster (CPU as well as grahics) than its predecessor the 4S. With all this power, the battery life is also kept in check. The iPhone 5 battery boasts 8 hours of 3G or LTE talk time or browsing, and 10 hours on WiFi browsing.
Lastly we get to the camera. It is 8-megapixels and a 5-element lens and f/2.4 aperture. The lens cover is now made of sapphire crystal. The camera also has better low-light performance and the shutter is 40 percent faster at capturing images. When it comes to video you have 1080p behind with better video stabilization and 720p upfront now. Oh and did we mention you can now FaceTime over 3G?
