The processor will be the S4 Pro from Samsung.

LG Optimus G beats iPhone 5 to in-cell display technology

The screen of the device is said to be ground breaking as it will have the in-cell technology which means it will have a thinner screen along with a thinner bezel. We first heard about this when speculations came about that Apple would be incorporating this into its upcoming iPhone 5. The device will be true HD at 1080 x 768 and LG are saying that when the handset is switched off the bezel will blend in seamlessly with the body of the phone.

It will have a 13 megapixel camera along with 2GB of RAM and a front camera of 1.3 megapixels. The battery is said to be 2100mAh and all of this will be neatly inside a depth of just 8mm thick.

There is some bad news and this is that the handset will be available in Korea only from next month and the OS will be ICS instead of Jelly Bean. It will include the live zoom feature which has been seen on the Optimus Vu. LG has given the handset a battery that is said to provide 800 cycles and the display was made by LG Display.

The handset should be available worldwide later in the year and you can expect to hear more at the upcoming IFA 2012.
