Many people hoped that when Thanksgiving came around they would be thankful for having the untethered jailbreak for iPhone and iOS 6. However developers haven’t released the jailbreak yet and the turkey has been eaten.
iOS 6 untethered jailbreak hunt will continue despite new ruling
Now there are new details coming out which says that one hacker who is working on a solution for iOS 6 is not afraid to continue his work on the jailbreak despite new rulings coming into effect which would make jailbreaking the iPad 4 illegal.
The jailbreak for iOS 6 pre-loaded devices like the iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad 4 are taking far longer than fans would have liked. Now p0sixninja said on Twitter that there were no plans to halt the jailbreak on the iPad 4 or any of the other devices when the new rulings come into force. He said that in the past hackers haven’t been scared to bend rules or even break them so nothing changes here.
He also gave us a look into the mammoth task that he and other developers are faced with in getting the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 and iPhone 5. He went on to say that they have always said that they didn’t think it would come out before the end of the year, and it seems that it will now be 2013 before an untethered jailbreak is released.
Bear in mind that this is the thought of just one developer though and there are many others who could have different feelings on the subject. So would you jailbreak your iPad 4 once the new rulings come into force?
