iPhone 5 iOS 6.0.2 update doesn’t fix anything (PR)
The statement comes after many readers told PR that they feel like doing just this after installing the iOS 6.0.2 update and have since had issues with Wi-Fi. Apple promised people that the Wi-Fi issue would be resolved with a software update. This has left people wondering when this will happen, as it certainly hasn’t happened with the release of iOS 6.0.2.
Apple didn’t give specific details about the Wi-Fi bug fix that has supposedly been fixed with the update. With the update installed though, PR says that it has made it worse.
Some readers now think that the iOS 6.0.2 update wasn’t about fixing Wi-Fi, but security issues, which would help to stop people jailbreaking the Apple iPhone 5. Readers have said that on installing the new update, their battery drains down fas as well. Product-Reviews put that to the test as well and agreed with their readers. Charging the iPhone 5 to 100% and then checking it in the morning found that it had gone down to 98%. However since installing iOS 6.0.2 it shows 89% when left overnight.
PR concluded that this could see Apple iPhone 5 owners making the move to Android devices; after all the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 have as much to offer as the iPhone 5.
