When Apple announced iOS 6 it was praised for the improvements along with the new features it offered. However soon after its release it was criticized as it had numerous issues. Apple of course released an update to fix these issues a few days ago (iOS 6.0.1), however the folks over at Product-Reviews now suggest that many iPhone users are still suffering problems relating to Wi-Fi, along with battery life and now is seems that Facebook and Gmail apps are crashing thanks to new bugs in the update.
iPhone 5 iOS 6.0.1 update brings new problems
Many users of iOS 6 on the iPhone 5 reported that they were having problems with Wi-Fi, along with users of the iPhone 4 and 4S saying that their battery was a problem after updating too. When Apple released the iOS 6.0.1 update it was assumed that these problems would have been fixed. However many owners of the iPhone are still having issues, along with iPad owners now as well.
Some of the complaints about iOS6.0.1 include apps that are force closing, one reader reported that their text app would close as they were writing a text too. Another said that they couldn’t open Gmail and some said that their device switches itself off and on. Problems have been reported when charging and there have been many other issues reported following the update. Facebook apparently crashes too, which means that instead of fixing issues, Apple has prolonged the agony and even in some cases, for some iPhone users, made things worse.
Some users have said that the battery on the device doesn’t last as long after updating to iOS 6 and this still remains a problem even after the 6.0.1 update. The issue regarding Wi-Fi has been fixed for some users, however for others it still remains a huge problem.
We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
