Owners of the Apple iPhone 4S and iOS 6 will be happy to hear that a video has been posted online which shows Cydia running on the 4S. This suggests that developers have an iOS 6 jailbreak. It also means that other devices such as the Apple iPhone 5, can be jailbroken too.
iPhone 5 compatible iOS 6 untethered jailbreak solution outed
@Mr_DunH1II put the video on Twitter to prove that there was a working Apple iPhone 4S iOS 6 jailbreak. However there are still some issues with it and these have to be remedied before it can be released. This will be down to the security from Apple, which has been beefed up on iOS 6.
The developer is the founder of the ARB Dev Team. Until recently no one had heard of the team, however the Twitter feed shows an Apple iPad also running iOS 6.
The ARB Dev Team say that the jailbreak does work with the A6 devices; these include the Apple iPhone 5. However this wouldn’t be the first time that someone has said they have the jailbreak for iOS 6. Nevertheless unlike in the past, there is no indication that this is a fraud.
The Dev Teams may be getting close to an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6, however Chronic Dev do say that there are still pieces missing from the puzzle that have to be in place before they are able to release it to the public. If the ARB Dev Team do have the jailbreak then it is thought that they will collaborate with the other Dev Teams to release the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak as soon as possible.
