Those who are wishing to jailbreak their iPhone 5 have been waiting patiently for the release of an untethered iOS 6 jailbreak to come about. Up to now this hasn’t happened as Apple has tightened security with its latest OS.

iPhone 5 & iOS 6 untethered jailbreak reports

Developer P0d2g has been the one that has talked the most about jailbreaking recently. In a new interview with iDownloadBlog, he talked about the situation with the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak and talked about what hacking involves.

The hacker said that he thought that we would see the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 within the next 6 months. He also talked about future tweaks, saying that discussions at JailbreakCon had opened new doors.

Apple may have boosted the security surrounding iOS 6.1; however there is hope that there will be an untethered jailbreak for the Apple iPhone 5 and iOS 6 very soon. P0d2g of course is part of the team behind Absinthe, one of the successful iOS jailbreaks from yesteryear.
