iClasified iPhone 5 & iOS 6 untethered jailbreak released

Wakulla News reports that OpenAnyPhone claim that their untethered jailbreak will work on the Apple iPhone 5, 4 and 4S and you don’t have to worry about having to perform the jailbreak again if your device runs out of battery or you have to reset it.

The site says that unlike FastSn0w you don’t even have to have the 42b3 SHSH blobs saved for the untethered jailbreak to work. The untethered jailbreak is said to unlock and Apple iPhone on the CDMA/GSM networks, around the world.

The software is easy to use and it comes with the Pro et Contra app, which is installed automatically on your device and which allows you to install Cydia or alternatives such as RockYour Phone or the Sn0w option so that you can use the SafeRa1n.com unlock too.

The jailbreak doesn’t need activating, but you do have to activate your Apple iPhone before using the software. The software is only for the Apple iPhone 5, 4,4S and 3GS on iOS 6.0.1 which means that can upgrade now.

The untethered jailbreak is permanent, so if you use the software then the device will remain jailbroken; this is the only tool that is available. The tool works on Windows and Apple Mac, with a Linux version on the way.

We’re always weary about iOS 6 untethered jailbreak solutions which require a payment. So we will be taking the plunge and seeing if it does in fact work. Watch this space for our results later today.
