iPhone 5 iOS 6 untethered jailbreak may be 3 days away

If you check out the evad3rs website, evasi0n, it tells you that the jailbreak is up to 60% completed and private beta testing is to be made for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Apparently the jailbreak is to support devices running on iOS 6 to 6.1 and this will include the Apple iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 2, iPod Touch 4th gen, Apple iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPod Touch 5th gen, the Apple iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPad 4, along with Apple TV 2.

The group and website comprises of famous jailbreakers, including pod2g, musclenerd and pimskeks. The site has been well designed and we love the fact that is shows the percentage of the jailbreak that has been completed. If undertaking a jailbreak you have to have five minutes free, have a PC with either OS X 10.5, Windows XP or up or Linux x86/x86_64. You will also need to have an iOS 6 or 6.1 device and a USB cable.

The website has also given credits to other hackers. These include @phoenixdev for the research, @surenox for evad3rs and evasi0n website, @chromicdevteam and @iphone_dev for support. Hanene Samara was also given credit for work on the GUI of evasi0n along with Kiki the cat who gave inspiration. While the developers don’t charge for the jailbreak you can contribute if you want via the Contribute Button on the website.

The calendar icon on the website has been set at number 3 and this could be an indication that, when combined with the progress bar of 68%, the untethered jailbreak could be released this Sunday.
