Apple are known for one thing and that is coming up with an industrial line that is good, however they haven’t always got this right. This time around they do have the design of the iPhone nailed reports CNET.
CNET: iPhone 5 gets the design right
While at first glance the iPhone 5 may just look like a stretched out 4S to you and me, CNET explains that the design looks great and it also feels a great deal better than the iPhone 4S. In other words, Apple has perfected the iPhone look with its latest upgrade.
The new iPhone 5 is a lot thinner than previous models, and that is one of the things that make the design so cool. This is not just better when it comes to looks; it is also down to practicality. Apple has stretched their new iPhone 5 to get a larger 4 inch screen, and it is still easy to hold, while having the benefit of being lighter.
The iPhone 4S was 4.5 inches tall, 2.31 inches wide, had a depth of 0.37 inches and weighed 4.9 ounces. The iPhone 5 on the other hand has a height of 4.87 inches, a width of 2.31 inches, depth of 0.30 inches and a weight of just 3.95 ounces.
The back plate is two toned and the metal clad sides look superb thanks to having 0.7 inches taken off from it. The front of the device is also attractive; overall the design is very successful claims CNET.
Do you think Apple was too subtle with the design changes on the iPhone 5? Or do you agree with CNET in that Apple has perfected the design of the iPhone with its latest version?
