You may have noticed that the new iPhone 5 is longer than other iPhones and that is has a larger screen and supports 4G LTE. You might have also noticed that the dock connector has changed, but did you notice the change to the edges of the latest generation of iPhone?
iPhone 5 features tinted edges
The edges of the handset have indeed had a makeover just like the rest of the phone. If you take a look at the edges of the iPhone 4S, either the white or black version, you will see that the edges have a metallic colour to them. The iPhone 5 on the other hand is different. If you choose the black version then you have matching slate edges. Choose the white handset and you have silver edges.
This may not be a huge change but it is something for you to have to consider when choosing between the white or black handset. Personally I think this “color coded” look to the iPhone 5 which eliminates outstanding colors looks fantastic as it makes the device look svelte and more “rich” indeed.
The iPhone 5 is of course available for pre-order later today in over half a dozen countries. Here in the US it will be available on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, starting at $199 with a two-year plan.
