iPhone 5 Bugs To Be Squashed By iOS 6.0.1 Update

By  |

A reliable source from Apple has told BGR that they have started on iOS 6.0.1 with carriers in the US and they gave details of what changes the update would bring about.

iOS 6.0.1 update for iPhone 5 & other iOS 6 device coming soon

The iOS 6.0.1 update should fix a bug on the display when the app or keyboard folder is open which shows horizontal lines. It will also ensure that the flash on the camera works when needed. These issues have been reported widely by iPhone 5 users and other devices running iOS 6 at the moment.

The update is also said to bring about improvements to Wi-Fi, and fix the issue with cellular unreliability, which for some has been a big problem. It will also add on a consolidated cellular data switch for iTunes Match and fix issues with a bug which allowed people to access the details on Passbook when on the lock screen. The iOS update will at the same time fix the bug that often caused Exchange meetings to cancel unexpectedly for entire calendar invite groups.

iPad mini rumors

Given that Apple is still working on iOS 6.0.1, it probably will not ship when the iPad Mini supposedly ships on 2nd November. Unless of course there will be a version build just for the iPad Mini that squashes the currently solved bugs.
