The screen that Apple have used in their Apple iPhone 5 could be replaced this year. Word has it that the display, which is in-cell technology, has been behind shortage problems and has caused interference with the touch screen all in the name of making the iPhone 5 that much more thinner.
iPhone 6 may use different display technology than iPhone 5
A report from China Times says that Apple will move away to new technology when they release the Apple iPhone 6 this year. Apple may choose the touch on display from Chimei Innolux as the technology is said to be durable. It will also offer much better touch sensing than the tech that Apple have used in the slim Apple iPhone 5.
A report has recently said that Apple will reveal the Apple iPhone 6 in June and that the handset will be released in different colours along with being offered in two display sizes.
The iPhone 5 has been heralded as being the thinnest smartphone in the world but not without its fair share of drawbacks which include being bent easily, a harsher vibration motor and a battery that is only 10mAh higher than the outgoing model the iPhone 4S.
