Ever since the launch of iOS 6 in September little has been said about the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S. This has been thanks to most of the community taking their time in searching for a jailbreak for the iPhone 5.
iPhone 4S & iPhone 5 in same iOS 6 untethered jailbreak train
However owners of the iPhone 4S don’t want to have to remain with iOS 5.1.1 for eternity. So what’s happening at this time?
Generally hackers release a tool that is able to jailbreak more than one device. This has been seen with the iOS 6 jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS.
While progress on the exploits is said to be coming along in the iPhone 5 jailbreak, PlanetBeing said another exploit would help when it comes to jailbreaking the iPhone 5 and possibly the iPhone 4S too. This hints that both are in the same train actually and will likely be made available simultaneously.
The hacking team of iOS 6 did bring out a working jailbreak for the iPhone 4S early in 2012 for iOS 5.1.1. However iOS 6 brings a lot of new features to the iPhone and fans want these, but are waiting for the jailbreak.
Of course jailbreaking is not for everyone despite being legal.
