Apple could be launching the iPad Mini just one week after its announcement on 23rd October. If this is true then it could be in stores by the 2nd November reports TomsHardware.
iPad Mini release date in stores looks set for 2nd November
GeekyGadgets said that a source which was close to a major retailer in the UK said that Apple will maintain their track record and release the new product on a Friday, which would be about 10 days following the unveiling of it at the event.
Apple has confirmed that they will hold the event next Tuesday, saying on their invites that they have a little more to show people. This is thought to be the 7.8 inch iPad Mini which will come with the price tag of around $250 to $300.
If Apple does release the device on 2nd November it will be in plenty of time for the holiday season and they will be able to offer consumers tablets that are competitively priced. Microsoft has the Surface tablet (the $499 version has already sold out) that’s due to be released on 26th October and Google will be offering the Nexus 7 for $99 once the 32GB Nexus 7 rolls out to take on the higher price point.
Best Buy is also said to be offering the Insignia Flex tablet on 11th November which should be in the region of $239 to $259. So there will be plenty of options for the tablet market for Christmas.
