Now the first thing you will notice is just how thin the new iPad Mini is. Coming in at just 7.2mm, it is the thinnest iPad ever. It also makes other devices like the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire appear a little chunky. Available in both black and white options, it is basically 25 percent thinner than the iPad 4 which was just revealed.
Now that extra 0.9-inches over its Android rivals, along with having the same resolution as the current Retina iPad, means that is has 50 percent more space in the web browser over 7-inch Android tablet claims Apple. Then there is also the App Store advantage which has many tablet optimized apps, much more than Android.
Now let’s take a look at the iPad Mini specs. We’re talking about the new lightning connector, A5 processor, LTE, FaceTime HD and a 5-megapixel camera. Best yet, the iPad Mini manages to boast 10 hours battery life despite having such a thin frame that you would not expect to be able to fit a decent size battery in. Nevertheless they did it.
The iPad Mini will be available for pre-order this Friday, with the base 32GB model starting at $329. It will begin shipping on 2nd November only.
