Some Infiniti Q50 and Q60 owners reported that their vehicle was stalling on its own and after some investigation, it looks like Infiniti has found the root of the problem.

Infiniti will now be issuing a recall to bring in their Infiniti Q50 and Q60 so that they can get their fuel pump software updated. According to Infiniti, the software was the root of the issue and a simple update should be enough to fix that.

The recall will affect 2016 Q50 and 2017 Q60 models that are powered by the 2.0liter four cylinder engine. A total of 14,192 vehicles will be affected by the recall.

Infiniti has also issued a stop-sale order so that they can get those vehicles fixed before they leave the dealers lot.

Those fitted with the 3.5-liter hybrid V6 engine and the 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine will not be affected by the latest recall.
