Hyundai Wants To Rival Ford Ranger Without Santa Cruz

By  |

Hyundai has given us a look at what they have planned for the future and it seems that they want to rival the Ford Ranger without the Santa Cruz.

Hyundai is going to offer up a dual cab 4×4 utility vehicle that will take on the Toyota Hilux and the Ford Ranger. They said that the project differs from the SUV Santa Cruz concept, and it has now been given a production code, which means that the project has now gathered momentum.

We haven’t heard a great deal about how much further they have got down the pipeline for the project but we were told that a future UTE is going to become a key model for the company. All that the COO would say was that it is being planned and prepared.

The company also talked about the next generation of the Santa Fe running alongside the second gen Hyundai Veloster coupe and the Ioniq coming in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric versions.

But do you think that Hyundai will be able to rival the Ford Ranger without the Santa Cruz, give us your thoughts.
