Huawei is hoping that their Huawei Mate 10 Pro will get some attention when it makes it way to the US and instead of relying on the reputation of the flagship, Huawei decided to fake it.
According to 9to5Google, Huawei might have faked the reviews of their Huawei Mate 10 Pro device to get the fans excite about their flagship device. It seems like it all started out with the beta tester program that Huawei pushed out on Facebook.
Huawei asked a group to go to Best Buy’s review section and tell them why they want to test out the device. The winner will get a new Mate 10 Pro to test. This meant that users had to go to Best Buy’s review site to leave reviews about the device before they have even tested one out.
Because most of the people that took part in the competition wanted to win, the device was given a five-star rating by all of them misleading other to believe that the device was really that great. The Facebook post was deleted once more and more people started noticing it. What do you think of Huawei’s tactic?
