As good as the current HTC Vive VR is, there is one thing that fans find annoying about and that is the cables that connect the system to the headset.

Of course, there are a few adapters out there that would allow users to have a wireless experience with the HTC Vive VR headset but because of the interference and low latency, it was not the perfect solution.

Htc has now announced that they will be offering a wireless adapter of their own using Intel’s WIGig technology which operates using 60GHz band. This should help with the interference and other issues that fans were facing.

HTC did not mention anything about the retail price of the adapter or how many hours the adapter can work before it needs to be recharged. What we know is that the adapter will be released this summer. HTC also announced the upgraded HTC Vive Pro headset this week.
