There has been a lot said about Jelly Bean and the HTC One X over the last few months, most of which has left us dangling. However thankfully the HTC One X+ comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed. We have also found out that those who have the original One X will not be feeling left out as that device will also get the update (rolling out in some regions already).
HTC One X with Jelly Bean beats Samsung Galaxy S3 (ICS) in benchmarks
The international version of the HTC One X comes with one of the most powerful processors, the Tegra 3 CPU. While it is fast, there is lag sometimes and animations could be smoother. GforGames points out that this is due to the fact that ICS wasn’t optimised for the device. This will be a thing of the past when the device gets the update to Jelly Bean.
Those who have got Jelly Bean on their HTC One X already have taken their device through benchmark tests and the results are nothing short of staggering. Jelly Bean does an amazing job on the One X and it allows the device to shine and perform to the very best of its capabilities. It outdid the One X running ICS and it even beat the Samsung Galaxy S3, thanks to the quad core processor.
Of course in day to day life benchmark tests may not mean much. However there is no denying that there is a big difference with the update. If you haven’t got the update for your One X yet, you should get it any day now and you will be pleased with the difference Jelly Bean makes.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S3, Sprint versions are already getting the Jelly Bean bump with the rest of the US carriers expected to be on board shortly.
