The summer has come and gone without the Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X, but there is good news in that HTC are said to be releasing it in October for models which are non-carrier branded reports BGR.
HTC One X Jelly Bean update now just weeks away?
The downside is that users should not expect the stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as HTC will be skinning it with their Sense UI. It is also thought that the update will be available for carrier versions of the device by Christmas.
The release dates are not known at the moment and MoDaCo say there is also news of the HTC One X+, which has been rumored for some time. The device should have a 1.6GHz Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, a battery of 1800mAh and 32GB of storage. It is also thought that it will come out of the box with Jelly Bean.
If you are with T-Mobile and are waiting for the update for the HTC One S, at the moment you are out of luck as there is no word on it. However as the device is considered fairly new, it should be coming at some point. As for HTC One X owners, it looks like the waiting game isn’t over just yet.
