Earlier this month, HTC issued a press release claiming that the HTC One X would get Jelly Bean before the month was up. Well they have lived up to that promise as the update has now begun rolling out.
HTC One X Jelly Bean update rolls out
HTC One X users in Singapore and Taiwan have reported receiving the update since today morning. Their HTC One X units have been bumped up ot Android 4.1.1 with HTC Sense 4+. The About Phone screen reads that it is version 3.14.709.16 and the update weighs in at a decent 354MB.
The HTC One X Jelly Bean update brings with it a more quicker flowing UI, Project Butter speed gains, Google Now and faster orientation changes among other things. There is also word that battery life has improved thanks to more consistent rendering and reactive touch responses.
The HTC One X of course was released earlier in the year and it boasts a 4.7-inch display, 8MP rear camera, 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has since seen a successor in the form of the HTC One X+ which launched recently with Jelly Bean out of the box.
No word yet on when HTC One X units in other regions will get the Jelly Bean upgrade.
