HTC M7 vs Samsung Galaxy S4: Battle Of Mythical Proportions

Two anticipated Android handsets expected to come out this year are the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC M7. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be a killer to the Samsung Note series of handsets if the rumour about it having an S Pen stylus are true.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to be arriving with a 5 inch screen and this would put the device into the category known as phablets. It is thought that it will have a camera of 13 megapixel on the back, a larger battery and it may have the Exynos 5400 quad core processor, which would make the phablet thicker.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is thought to be coming out during Q2 or Q3 as Samsung will want a head start over Apple and the Apple iPhone 6. Samsung Lebanon did confirm that the device would not be released before May.

Samsung have been working on some superb new tech, which they have shown at the CES event, some of which many be seen on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Two of which are the flexible displays and the processor with 8 cores. Samsung have said that the tech is almost ready and it will be seen on their upcoming devices, which may include the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Of course the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be in competition with the HTC M7. It is thought that the HTC M7 will have the Snapdragon quad core processor of 1.7GHz and it will have 2GB of RAM. It has been said that it will come with 32GB of storage. The HTC M7 is said to have a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel on the front.

If the device is not revealed at CES, which is going on now, then it should be released next month and it may come with Jelly Bean 4.2.

There have been rumours going around that HTC will reveal their handset either at the CES or the MWC. Rumours about the device have been going around. The HTC M7 is thought to have the latest Jelly Bean OS, however HTC will be adding in HTC Sense 5.

At the moment both Samsung and HTC are keeping quiet.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 may have a 5 inch display of Super AMOLED, with 1080 x 1920 resolution, while the HTC M7 could have a 1080p screen of 4.7 inches.

The processor of the Samsung Galaxy S4 could be an 8 core with 2GB of RAM and the HTC M7 could have the 1.7GHz Snapdragon, along with 2GB of RAM.

In regards to OS both of the handsets should have the latest, which should be Key Lime Pie.

Storage wise the Samsung Galaxy S4 may have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and expansion will be through microSD card. It is thought that the HTC M7 will come with 32GB of internal storage.

Both of the handsets should have support for LTE/4G along with NFC.

The cameras should be 13 megapixel on the front.

The HTC M7 is thought to have a battery of 2300mAh and the Samsung Galaxy S4 may have the 3100mAh battery.

Samsung have said that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be out around May of this year and the HTC M7 may be showing its face at the MWC in February, so HTC may have a headstart again this year.
