HTC Droid Incredible 2 Ice Cream Sandwich update remains in limbo

Droid Incredible 2 owners have been asking HTC about the update, and while HTC has finally decided to respond, they have decided to give the same drivel that they have been giving owners of the Thunderbolt for sometime now.

The folks over a t GottaBeMobile have received numerous emails from owners of the HTC DROID Incredible 2 who had written to HTC wanting to know when Ice Cream Sandwich will arrive on their handset. HTC had originally said that the update would be coming towards the end of August, but that came and went and still no update.

HTC have now said that they apologize for the lack of the update, however they do not announce release dates any more for updates. They went on to say that it was only following final acceptance testing that was successful that they would release updates and that the testing period was typically around one week and often shorter.

All that owners can read from this is that the update is still coming; however it appears that for the moment it is still being tested. This means that it probably will not be out in September either.

For now all owners of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 can do is wait, and wait and wait for information as contacting HTC is a waste of time. October could be the month when the update finally arrives, but don’t hold your breath.
