There are so many brilliant features in the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade that we can’t say loudly enough that HTC NEEDS to adopt this latest version of the Google platform, and ASAP. It seems that the Taiwanese company knows what to do, but we need to know when it’s going to do it.
HTC working out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade plans
“We are excited about Android Jelly Bean and are planning to support it across a variety of our devices. We are reviewing the software to determine our upgrade plans and schedule, so please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans,” said an official HTC statement.
It’s quite normal for OEMs to look over and analyze new platforms, but Jelly Bean is a point-release. High-end handsets like the HTC One X will be able to handle Jelly Bean with no hitches, so why the hmming and hahhing? HTC is most likely trying to optimize its Sense bits, which is laudable, but come on guys, let’s have the update already! HTC does have a lot of devices with a lot of users all waiting, so you can’t blame us for being impatient.
