The Honda Pilot has been knocked down by the 2017 Toyota Highlander by a huge sucker punch. This is because the Highlander offers up looks that are much better than the Pilot and so the Pilot isn’t able to compete in this aspect. At the same time the Pilot hasn’t been made available in hybrid, another area where it loses out.
What has been another surprise for the Honda Pilot and people trying to choose between the two is the price tag of the 2017 Toyota Highlander. Generally when a new vehicle arrives it comes with a price tag that is higher than the vehicle it replaces. This isn’t so, in fact the total opposite has happened.
You will pay thousands of pounds less for some trims of the 2017 Toyota Highlander than you would pay out last year. It was shown off at the New York Auto Show recently and it brought with it many improvements along with a brand new look to the front end.

It has the six cylinder hybrid engine along with an electric motor and it offers up 306 horsepower.
