Google have the Waymo self-driving car company and work has been making good progress. Right now they have teamed up with Chrysler and are working on the autonomous version of the Pacifica Hybrid. But now Honda are trying to get into the game and they have the Honda Odyssey.

Reports have suggested that Honda is going to put the self-driving software into some vehicles and this means that Hondas engineers and those of Waymo are now working together.

We haven’t been told which of the vehicles will have the self-driving software installed and some think that it might be the Honda Civic, others said the Honda Odyssey and some people think that it could be the CR-V. The Honda Odyssey could be a good choice as the vehicle would then be able to compete with the Chrysler Pacifica.

The FCA is one step in front of Honda of course and they are launching 100 units of the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, which will come with the autonomous technology. Even so the Honda Odyssey is going to arrive to compete with the Pacifica.
