Honda Not Ready To Give Up On Manual Yet

By  |

At this point, it does look like most automakers are ready to leave the manual transmission in the past as most of the new models are being released with only the auto transmission option. However, Honda’s new program indicate that they are still not ready to let the manual transmission go yet.

Honda hosted an event in LA called Shifting Gears where they taught people how to operate a manual car using their own manual-equipped vehicles. Besides offering the people some of their newer models like the Honda Accord and Honda Civic, Honda also brought out some of their older models like the Honda Civic CVCC and S2000 CR.

Those without any experience were allowed to drive in a low-speed area while those with more experience were allowed on the Angeles Crest Highway. While it is nice to see Honda passing down the skills to the younger drivers, do you think it was necessary?
