Among the most popular of subcompact hatchback vehicles is the Honda Fit and you can easily understand why. In short the vehicle offers up a driving experience that is simple and it also offers up fuel economy figures that are superb.
One issue with the Honda Fit is that the vehicle doesn’t sell at a continuous pace. The figures have been dipping since the beginning of 2012 and many people have said that this is down to the arrival of the Honda Civic. Many have said this as the Civic does offer up fuel economy figures that are better and this has taken some of the potential buyers of the Fit.
Honda teased an upgrade for the Honda Fit and while they didn’t really go into any details they said that it might come with the new turbocharged engine. The turbocharged engine should offer up the same layout as the 1.5 litre engine that is on the Honda Civic, however it is going to have a smaller capacity.
On the Honda Fit this means that the hatchback should be able to give up fuel economy figures that are great and it should be able to offer up more by way of power. The turbocharged version of the Honda Civic could however make a big impact if it takes on the Ford Fiesta EcoBoost, but is this something that could happen?
