The Honda Civic and Honda CR-V offer the same engine and platform and soon the Honda Accord is going to join them too. We are expecting all three vehicles to then have the same 1.5 litre turbocharged engine but this isnt going to happen until 2017.

When the Honda Accord makes its way out to join the Honda CR-V and Civic we may have to say farewell to the 3.5 litre V6 non-turbocharged engine. We say this as we know that Honda has been working on the 4 cylinder turbocharged engine.

Some people have been asking if Honda might offer up the Honda Accord with the V6 non-turbocharged engine as an option. This engine is going to take some beating as it does offer up plenty of performance. There is no getting away from the fact that the turbocharged engine is cool but they can make a lot of noise and more so when starting up.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that when the Honda Accord does come out in 2017 it is going to be offered with the V6 turbocharged engine and possibly the non-turbocharged as an option.
