Honda Accord Or Civic: Now We Know Why Flagship Wants Addressing

By  |

If you are in the market for a new vehicle and you want to spend about $26,000 on a Honda Sedan you could choose the base version of the Honda Accord or you might go with the top of the range 10th gen Honda Civic. Not much of a decision right?

It looks like you are going to get better value for money with the Honda Civic than you would if you spent money on the Accord. Both vehicles are around the same in size with the difference being so minimal it is almost impossible to tell. The Civic is the lighter of the two vehicles though.

The Honda Civic offers the 1.5 litre turbo engine with 4 cylinders, so it does come in more economical than the Honda Fit, with around the same power as the Civic Si. The 1.5 litre engine offers 174 horses and you should get about 42mpg from it, which makes it more attractive than the Honda Accord.

People do like the Accord and think that it should receive an update that would mean the Honda Civic wasn’t able to intrude on it. It would perhaps be nice if Honda gave the Accord SH-AWD and this could replace FWD. This would allow it to offer a driving characteristic that the Honda Civic couldn’t offer.
