Halo 4 vs Black Ops 2: Which Is Hotter?

By  |

Halo 4 has just been launched by Microsoft and the game has been welcomed by fans of the series. However another very popular game is coming our way, Black Ops 2, so how will sales of these games compare?

Halo 4 vs Black Ops 2 sales

The release of Halo 4 of course was a big deal, but was the sales actually record breaking? The game once again features Master Chief and at the moment there are no signs of the series slowing down as it took more than $220 million within 24 hours of it going on sale. It may take in over $300 million in the first week of the game being on the shelves.

When it comes to sales of Halo 4, $220 million does happen to be record sales. But will Black Ops 2 be able to beat it and sell more in the first 24 hours of being on sale? Black Ops 2 will be just as popular as Halo 4 and so it should make a fortune for Activision.

However when you consider the fact that Halo 4 hasn’t managed to beat the other two Call of Duty games, it’s not going to beat the latest version. The first Black Ops games was one of the largest launches ever in entertainment and this made $360 million in just 24 hours.

When Modern Warfare 3 was released, records were broken again as this made $400 million in just the first day of being on sale.

Many thought that Bungie leaving the team at Halo would see the game decline. However as sales have topped $200 million on the first day of the game being out, Microsoft have shown that they can manage without them.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
