Earlier last week we compared Black Ops 2 versus Halo 4 sales, finding that it was a landslide victory for Black Ops 2. However many people said this wasn’t fair given that Halo 4 is limited to just one console – the Xbox 360.
Halo 4 vs Black Ops 2: Black Ops 2 king of Xbox 360 too
So let’s look at the sales figures of Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 only on Xbox 360 to see which game is more popular.
Now we already saw Black Ops 2 sales slipping in the UK last week, and it now seems like the same is happening globally. According to the latest report, Black Ops 2 moved 11 million units platform-wide, while on Xbox 360 it was 6.21 million. This is sadly 2 million less than what Modern Warfare 3 accomplished around the same time last year.
Halo 4 on the other hand pulled in 3.8 million sales in its first week, which is almost half of what Black Ops 2 accomplished on just the Xbox 360. So it is very clear that Black Ops 2 is selling much better than Halo 4 despite not being able to crack the record of its predecessor.
