GTA 5 happens to be the most anticipated game and now fans have been told they have to wait 6 months longer to get their hands on it. It was originally coming out in spring and this has now been changed to 17TH September. When it does arrive it will be on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but there are some fans that think Rockstar may have other plans and that it could come out for the next generation consoles.
20th of February is said to be the day when Sony will reveal the PS4. Microsoft on the other hand may wait until June and the E3 or they could reveal it before this at an event dedicated to the console. There has also been a rumour about older games not being playable on the next gen consoles, which would mean that games bought to play on the Xbox 360 and PS3, would not work on the next gen consoles.
If this was to be the case then why might Rockstar want to launch GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 and PS3? People who bought the game could find that when it comes out in September they would be unable to play it on the next consoles, which would be on the shelves in December. Could this scenario come true?
Is it possible that Rockstar have delayed the game knowing full well that the next generation consoles will be here by 17th September? But then wouldn’t they launch the game on the next generation of consoles, instead of the older ones? This scenario would no doubt have affect sales of the new consoles due to the fact that gamers could remain with the older consoles to play GTA 5.
Of course there is nothing to say that any of this will happen, but gamers have concerns thanks to the rumours that when the next generation of consoles appear, old games will not play.
