Google Pixel users will be happy to know that Google is ready to roll out the Android 8.0 Oreo update now but before you start pulling out your device to check, take note that only the carrier-branded models will be getting the update now.

Verizon was one of the first to roll out the update to their Pixel and Pixel XL device this week and now the other carriers are ready to start their update as well. The update will not only fix some of the bugs on the Pixel and Pixel XL but it will also come with a long list of new features.

Some of the new features that users can expect to see include the Program-In-Picture support adaptive icons, circular emoji and notification channels.

As for those without a carrier, we do not know when the update will arrive. Let’s hope that it is not going to be another six months of waiting for the update.
