Of course, Samsung was not the only smartphone manufacturer that offered the always on display feature but it was certainly one of the more popular features. Seeing how well received the feature was, new reports are now suggesting that the upcoming Google Pixel 2 could be coming in with that feature as well.
XDA reported that the Google Pixel 2 could be coming with the Always-On display after some people found the code in the latest Android O Developer Preview 3. With the new features, users won’t have to wake up the device to retrieve some information and this could help the device last longer throughout the day.
So far, there has not been a whole lot of details about what the Google Pixel 2 will be offering when the time comes but it is believed that Google could also be offering an edge-to-edge display this time around and that the device will be coming with an upgraded camera.
