2011 was the year of the Apple iPad 2 at Christmas, as it was the most popular of the tablets. Of course Apple has since released the iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Mini. There are also other tough rivals out there, most notably the Google Nexus 7.
iPad Mini more popular than Nexus 7 and iPad 4 this holidays
Now Product-Reviews reports the Apple iPad 4 and the Google Nexus 7 both lag behind sales of the Apple iPad Mini. So this means that the full-size iPad has lost its throne this Christmas, and not just because of price as the Google Nexus 7 is the cheapest and it too falls behind the iPad Mini.
As such we can expect that its sales will do well over the holiday period, but we will not know for sure just how well until next year. It also doesn’t help Android with the fact that the Google Nexus 7 is currently sold out in the Play Store.
Do you plan on buying a tablet this Christmas? If so which one’s are on your list? And if not, are you waiting for something better to come along next year?
