Google Nexus 4 Won’t Feel Left Out

It is normal for older smartphones users to feel left out when the manufacturer stops offering them the latest OS updates. Google announced that they will not be releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS for the Nexus 4 user but luckily for them, there are already a few custom ROM out there for them so they won’t feel left out.

There are currently two custom ROM that is said to be stable. The first one was created based on the ROM that Dmitry Grinberg created while the other was created by Aldrin Holmes.

Both ROM works just fine so pick one and let’s get started. To update your Nexus 4 to the latest Android Marshmallow, you will need to start by transferring the TWRP file to the device and update/install it. Now enter Recovery Mode. Do so by switching off the device and press down on the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power Button.

Wait for the TWP UI to load and select Wipe > Factory Reset. Now, transfer one o the ROM-GApps into the device, reboot, enter Recovery Mode, install the rest of the files and reboot one last time.
