The Google Nexus 4 is a handset that has gone down well with both developers and owners. Of course owners have been waiting to hear about the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now there is good news for them as we have heard that they are getting the update.

One of the reasons why the Google Nexus 4 is getting the update is that there are many owners still holding onto the handset. Developers therefore came up with the ROM for the handset.

There are two choices of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Google Nexus 4. One of them comes from Dmitry Grinberg and the other is from Aldrin Holmes. Should you want to put the ROM onto your device you can then follow the steps listed below.

1. Start by transferring the TWRP file to the device and update/install it.
2. Turn off the device and switch it on to the Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button).
3. Wait for the TWP UI to load up, then choose Wipe > Factory Reset.
4. Next, transfer one of the ROM-GApps into the device and reboot to enter Recovery mode again.
5. Now, you are ready to enjoy the Marshmallow update on your Nexus 4.

If you have gone ahead and followed the steps you should now have Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed on your Google Nexus 4.
