Google Nexus 4: Can’t Get Rid Of It

By  |

The Google Nexus 4 may be getting on in age but it seems that you cannot keep a good device down as it is still being used today and thanks to developers it has been enjoying Android Nougat, thanks to CM14.1.

Generally any handset older than two years is given the boot when it comes to official updates. The Google Nexus 4 was launched in 2012, so it is past its prime. Thanks to CyanogenMod 14.1 owners can get Android Nougat.

Of course CyanogenMod 14.1 does come with risks and it may not be the most stable OS, however if you have the Google Nexus 4 and you want Android Nougat, it may be worth taking that risk. There is also the fact that the hardware of the handset wasn’t exactly built to be able to manage the features that are found in the latest operating system.

But do you own the Google Nexus 4 and have you put CM14.1 on your handset? If so tell us your thoughts about the custom ROM experience on your device.
