CNET says that the photos suggest Google are in fact making their Google map app for iOS 6 after all. The app was said to be in the alpha stage at the moment. Developer Dan Guild went on to say that the app was based on vector and it had the option for users being able to use two fingers for rotation to any angle. He said that the Maps app worked very fast and that it would support the resolution and size of the iPhone 5.

Many fans of the iPhone 5 and Google Maps were angry when iOS 6 was released without Google Maps and in its place, Apple Maps. Apple Maps has been inaccurate and has many bugs for many users apparently. It has been said that Google have been rushing to finish a replacement for this.

Tim Cook had to apologize about Apple maps and said that Apple was sorry for all the frustration they had caused with the Map app and that it would improve. No word on when this Google Maps app will hit the iOS 6 but until then you may have to do with Apple Maps on your shiny new iPhone 5.
