Google Doesn’t Owe Nexus 6P Owners Anything

By  |

Owners of the Nexus 6P are not going to get official support for Daydream VR but really they don’t have anything to complain about as Google doesn’t owe them anything.

The Nexus 6P isnt able to handle VR as it would overheat, and this isnt the fault of Google. You also have to bear in mind that Google didn’t promise owners of the handset that they would have VR support.

Google could have been said to have abandoned the Nexus devices as they have now come up with Pixel devices, but they haven’t given up on the Nexus handsets. The Nexus 6P is going to get the camera features from the Pixel devices as owners can install Camera NX. This is going to help with the software lag issues on the device.

The Nexus 6P is also going to be given the update to Android 7.0 Nougat and this means that owners will leave Marshmallow behind.

In regards to Daydream VR we know that the Moto Z and ZTE Axon 7 are both getting support for VR but then these handsets are much newer than the Nexus 6P.
