Truck Trend announced its 2015 Truck of the Year to none other than the GMC Sierra Denali. Some of the reasons that made the Denali clearly a winner would be its best-in-class power, amenities and technology. There were 7 all-new, revised contestants competing for Truck Trend magazine’s winning title, but Sierra took the glory for its interior, functionality and “Empirical,” and even scored second in highway testing and exterior looks.
More importantly, the Sierra got refreshed this year with new front-end styling with HD headlamps and LEF accents, tech features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and even wireless phone charging features. Other than that, optional convenience features were also added, such as a remote locking tailgate and power articulated assist steps.
With all that being said, there’s no wonder it could bag home the title of the year. It’s not that easy to have to compete with several rivals that are of the same par (or better) of standard. At least we now know why it’s the ultimate winner. Do you think the GMC Sierra Denali totally deserved it?
