Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Drivetrain Takes Inspiration From Nissan GT-R

Ford is in the midst of developing the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and when the vehicle arrives we are expecting it to offer up plenty of power. The vehicle is going to have the V6 twin-turbocharged engine and we expect this to offer up around 600 horses.

But how well would the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 do if it were out on the track? Well if we can believe the latest rumors then it would feel a lot like the Nissan GT-R as it has been said that the drivetrain of the Shelby take inspiration from that of the GT-R.

The GT500 comes with front steering spindles that have splines that have been designed for CV shafts and so the vehicle is going to offer up a front engine that comes with a rear transaxle and driveshaft that goes to the front.

At the moment there hasn’t been any confirmation about this so we are going to have to wait to see what the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has to offer.
