Ford Focus RS Steals SEMA Spotlight Like Mustang
Every year the hottest vehicles get together to show off at the SEMA show in Las Vegas and the Hottest of SEMA awards are given based on the count of vehicles that are actually in attendance. This year it is the Ford Focus RS that has stolen the spotlight from under the nose of vehicles such as the Ford Mustang.
The award was first given out in 2010 and then there were only three different categories and these were Hottest SUV, Hottest Truck and Hottest Car. In 2016 there are five categories and they include the Hottest Sport Compact and the Hottest sedan, while the Hottest Car is now labelled the Hottest Coupe.
The Ford Mustang, F Series and the Ford Focus has for the second year in a run been classed as the most popular of the classes.
The Ford Mustang took the title of the Hottest Coupe 2016 and this was the fifth time that the vehicle has been the most popular at the event. The Chevrolet Camaro took the title back in 2010 and 2011; however since that time the Mustang has taken over.
The Ford F Series took the title of Hottest Truck of SEMA and this is for the second time straight and 6th time in 7 years. The only time that it didn’t win was is 2014 when the Chevrolet Silverado took the title. The entire F Series has also been given recognition in the award and the F150 was among the vast majority of trucks that were at the SEMA event.
The Ford Focus took the Hottest Sport Compact title and this was also a back to back win for the hatchback and the sedan.
