Ford Focus RS Is Going To Be Subaru WRX’s Killer

By  |

There has never been anything that would have us dislike the Subaru WRX, because there really is none. The Subaru WRX has done great since it first arrived on the market, however it is now beginning to drop behind and we believe that one vehicle that may take over from it is the Ford Focus RS.

The Subaru WRX has an engine of 2 litres along with the manual gearbox which comes with 6 speeds, delivering 268 horses. The Ford Focus RS should be coming to the roads in the US soon and when it does it should offer up an engine that is better and this in turn should offer more horsepower.

We are expecting the engine to come in the form of the 2.3 litre EcoBoost in the Ford Focus RS and it was the same that was seen in the Ford Mustang. However the engine in the RS is going to be boosted and it has been said that it may be about 345 horse power.

The engine in the Ford Focus RS will have been given a boost and we are expecting it to be able to travel from standing still to 62mph in 4.7 seconds, with top speed of 165mph. Thanks to the Drift mode the vehicle is going to be able to offer the owner a driving experience that is much better.

When the Ford Focus RS does arrive in the US the price tag may be in the region of around $36, 605 but we are going to have to wait to see if it can beat the Subaru WRX or not. When they do come together head to head, you’ll know where to get the updates; stay tuned.
