Ford was at the Detroit Auto Show where they showed off the latest Ford Bullitt Mustang. This will be the third Bullitt branded special edition that Ford has to offer. The first was released back in 2011 while the second was released in 2009.

As the name itself would suggest, the vehicle was build based on the Ford Mustang 390 GT fastback model that Steve McQueen drove in the movie Bullitt. Frank Bullitt was the name of the character McQueen played in the move.

The 2019 Ford Bullitt Mustang was fitted with the Performance package from the Mustang GT Premium along with upgrades like the Brembo six-piston front brakes, Torsen limited-slip differential, larger rear anti-roll bar and more.

Under the hood of the Ford Bullitt Mustang is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that would be delivering about 475hp and 420lb ft of torque. The vehicle will have a top speed of 163mph and will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The price of the new Bullitt is still a mystery but most people are expecting to see a price tag that is higher than the $43,990 that the Ford Mustang GT Premium is offered at.
